One Day Tour: Siem Reap arrival – Banteay Chhmar temple – Floating Village

When you arrive at the airport in Siem Reap, you will be welcome by a Cambodia Journey Wisdom representative just outside the exit door of airport. And we will drive you out to hotel by passing the main roads, markets, some recommended restaurants and shops before dropping you off at your hotel to check in.

Or other option we will pick you up at your own place.

After check in and finish breakfast we will start the trip to the west that located in Banteay Meanchey. You will catch up with some green rice fields, countryside, carving stone village, local market.

Banteay Chhmar temple was build by King Jayavarman VII in the 12^th century dedicated to his son who died defending the Khmer empire against the Charmpa kingdom. The complex is cover over 9 square kilometers and is surrounded by the moat.

After visiting this fascinating temple then we will have break time with lunch and drink at local restaurant.

Later on we will head back to Siem Reap and go on to the south to the lake for floating village. We will visit the biggest fresh water lake in South-East Asia called Tonle Sap Lake in the late afternoon. Where we will take a traditional wooden motor boat on a tour along the lake to visit the local floating village, fishing village (get experiences with local people’s life activities at the lake which is completely different), flooded forest and the big open of the lake like the sea. Return to Siem Reap in the evening and dinner at a restaurant in town. Enjoy dinner, shopping and massage before driving back to hotel.
